LOCATION: Campus Wide
DURATION: 1/9/2026 to TBD
PROJECT INFORMATION: The Portland Water Bureau has reported that there has been a mainline water break north of campus that is currently impacting several of Portland State University buildings. The City is working to resolve the issue and we currently do not have a timeline on when water service is expected to be restored. Additional notices will be sent when more information is available.
PROJECT BENEFITS: The Portland Water Bureau is working to restore water services to the downtown Portland area.
IMPACT: While the Portland Water Bureau is working to restore water services, water may appear discolored and there may be pockets of air released when turning on fixtures. Toilets, urinals, sinks, and other fixtures may have low or no water pressure until issue is resolved. Issues may vary by building and floor across campus.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Water on campus may be unusable or unavailable. It is recommended to use non-tap alternatives such as bottled water until service is restored.
