DURATION: 2/5/2026 to 2/7/2026 & 2/13/2026 to 2/14/2026 from 5:00:00 PM to 10:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: Art installation for the Portland Winter Lights Festival (pdxwlf.com). The Festival will be held Feb 6, 7, 13 and 14 from 6-10pm. PSU's installation is a behind the scenes look at how some of LAIKA's films are created. There will be light installations at SMSU and Simon Benson House, which are designed to be viewed from the Park Blocks. The event will include free face painting, hot cider, and cocoa at our tent in the Park Blocks between SMSU and SBH.The illuminated bike ride will pass through campus on it's route on Feb 7 sometime between 7-8:30pm
PROJECT BENEFITS: PSU will be a destination for the festival
IMPACT: The study lounge in Smith will be inaccessible during the festival. Areas around SMSU, Park Blocks, and SBH will be busier than normal with pedestrian and bike traffic.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: There will be more lights and more people than normal in the Park Blocks near SMSU and SBH.
