LOCATION: Campus Wide, East Hall (EH), Fariborz Maseeh Hall (FMH), Karl Miller Center (KMC), Parking Structure 1 (PS1), University Center Building (UCB)
DURATION: 9/2/2025 to 9/26/2025
PROJECT INFORMATION: Contractor is installing permanent fencing around the exterior perimeter of the 8th floor of Parking Structure 1.
UPDATE #1 (09/09/25): Adding in noise impact.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Installing fencing will help improve the safety of all occupants.
IMPACT: The 7th and 8th floors of PS1 will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Egress on the sidewalks immediately around PS1 will be impaired. Contractor will have staff on the sidewalks stopping pedestrian traffic as needed for overhead work. Reference attached map for alternate routes.
During this impact, the contractor will be intermittently drilling anchors into concrete. This will be very noisy in PS1 and to the neighboring buildings as well as cause vibrations throughout PS1.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: The 7th and 8th floors of PS1 will be closed to vehicle traffic.
