Black Studies asked us to share information about three courses they're offering this fall. See the information below. 

🟢 BST 203 – African American I: Slavery to the Harlem Renaissance

Trace the history of Black America from enslavement through the Harlem Renaissance, exploring resistance, resilience, and the people and movements that transformed the nation.

🟢 BST 261 – The African American Economic Experience

Explore how Black communities have built economic power, resilience, and opportunity in the face of systemic inequality.

🟢 BST 378 – Philosophy of Race

What is race—and why does it still matter? Explore the philosophical questions behind race, identity, justice, and power while examining how ideas about race continue to shape our society.

These courses are options for students interested in history, philosophy, economics, public policy, education, social justice, and the humanities, as well as those seeking intellectually engaging electives.
