Dear PSU students,

We hope you were able to enjoy some sunshine this weekend! We're reaching out to remind you about the CIMR Abstract Workshop taking place this Friday. Join us for an engaging 1.5-hour workshop designed to enhance your skills in writing effective abstracts.

When: February 9, 2024 from 3-4:30PM
Where: Karl Miller Center 295 (Zoom: https://pdx.zoom.us/j/84256149534)

In this workshop, you'll learn everything you need to know about crafting abstracts for conferences, symposiums, and scholarly publications. Whether you're a beginner or looking to polish your skills, this workshop will provide valuable insights and hands-on experience.

Please note that this workshop can help you craft or refine your abstract for the PSU Student Research Symposium (SRS) taking place on May 8, 2024! Abstract submissions for the SRS will open early Feb and close March 10, 2024.

What You Can Expect from the Workshop:

  • Introduction to the significance of abstracts in academic communication
  • Exploration of different types of abstracts and their structures
  • Step-by-step guidance on writing a compelling abstract
  • Interactive group activities to analyze and draft abstracts
  • A chance to showcase your abstract and receive constructive feedback

Don’t miss this opportunity to elevate your academic writing skills! Please email CI...@pdx.edu with any questions. And feel free to forward this email to your peers! This event is open to the PSU community. We look forward to seeing you there.

Best,
CIMR
