About Dr. Cansunar:
Dr. Asli Cansunar is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an MA in Economics from Duke University and was previously a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Oxford University. Her research focuses on the political consequences of economic inequality, particularly examining preferences on redistributive and tax policies in advanced industrialized countries and the Middle East. She combines formal modeling with laboratory experiments, survey experiments, geospatial analysis, and archival research.
