Greetings Jeff,

I was given your name and email to share a volunteer opportunity for PSU speech and language students.  I have a group from Brazil coming to learn about Project ImPACT (Improving Parents as Communication Teachers) and Early Intervention in general.  On Thursday May 7th I am looking for volunteers to help me greet participants at the Ankwak early learning center.  We would meet there at 8:45 and show participants to the conference room.  it would be great to have 3 individuals for this portion.  I would also need at least one, preferably two, individuals to stay during the day until 2:30.  During this time I will be in different Early Intervention Classrooms at the Antwak Center and having a live video feed to the conference room.  Their role would be to alert me if it was not streaming.    They would have a lunch break from 11:45-1:00.  After the live stream we will have a short Q and A with the director.  I will the discuss emotional regulation and review research on strategies to help children who are experiencing difficulty with communication.  The volunteers would be invited to stay the entire day and listen if they would like.  I will present everything in English their will be simultaneous translation into Portuguese.

Please let me know if this is something you could post for volunteers and if anything is needed from me.   Here is the schedule  for the day:

Hi all,
Just a quick note to encourage folks to take advantage of this opportunity, if you are able to do so. Project ImPACT, developed by Anna Dvortcsak and Brooke Ingersoll, is an evidence-based, parent-implemented intervention for young autistic children and their families. This naturalistic approach coaches caregivers in supporting interaction, reciprocity, and early communication with young autistic children. This seems like a great opportunity!
Thanks,
Dr. Donaldson
