Wright Stuff C Student Workshop

In the interest of providing assistance to students competing in Wright Stuff C, a remote student workshop will be available on and after 09-15-26. This resource will be accessible for the remainder of the 2026/27 Science Olympiad season, so it will be valuable to your students regardless of when they are ready to start preparing for the Wright Stuff event.

Registered teams will receive a link to a self-paced presentation that discusses the following topics.  While working through the workshop materials, students may directly email any questions they have to the Wright Stuff C State Event Supervisor.

1.  What should I build? - Selecting a kit for the Flight event

2.  How do I build it?  - Building tips from the experts

3.  How do I make it fly? - How to trim and wind to get your plane in the air

4.  How do I make sense of what I’m doing? - The importance of the flight data log

5.  Resources for improving flight times

The workshop will be presented free of charge to all PASO teams, however teams must register for it using this LINK. A link to workshop materials will be emailed to all registered teams on 9/15.

It is also our hope that we will be able to offer some in-person trimming and flying sessions later in the Fall.  This depends to some extent on the availability of an appropriate venue. If you may be able to provide a venue for your team and others, please have the coach contact the Wright Stuff C State Event Supervisor.
