Apply for a Micro-Grant

 

 

ACCD is now offering a funding opportunity to support urban growers in Allegheny County. 

 

Whether you're running an urban farm business or growing a community garden, this grant can help take your work to the next level.

 

Funding ranges from $500 to $8,000 and can support a variety of project needs, from improving infrastructure and soil health to purchasing supplies, developing skills, or expanding educational opportunities in your community. This funding opportunity is created in partnership with Grow Pittsburgh, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, Hilltop Urban Farm, Chatham University, and the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council.

·    Important Dates:

·    October 15, 2025: Applications are due.

·    2026: Awardees notification and project implementation.

·    Eligibility: These funds are available to assist those individuals, organizations, and/or community-based groups already active in urban agriculture. Successful projects must fill a perceived need in support of urban agriculture and food systems in Allegheny County.

·    Helpful Resources:

·    Q&A Sessions: Interested applicants can attend a virtual or in-person information session. Find dates and register here.

·    Pre-Application Meeting: Onsite meeting available with ACCD staff are upon request

·    Office Hours: Weekly walk-in options are available for application support. Check website for dates, times, & location.

·    One-on-One Technical Assistance: Schedule a session with Pittsburgh Food Policy Council's Technical Assistance Consultant.
