Subject: Free Tick and Mosquito Bite Prevention Supplies

The Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) Bureau of Epidemiology supports all growers in the Commonwealth. Now that warm months are here and ticks and mosquitoes are out, we want to remind you that preventing tick and mosquito bites is the best way to prevent both Lyme disease and other vector borne diseases.
PA DOH is offering free supplies to growers that contain tools for preventing tick and insect bites and the diseases they spread. These supplies can be used by you and your staff to prevent bites while working and spending time outdoors.
We can provide you with picaridin, a spray insect repellent, and permethrin, an insecticide to help prevent tick and mosquito bites.  The picaridin should be applied to your skin, and the permethrin should be applied to your clothes and shoes. To receive these products, please send an email to RA-DHWORK...@pa.gov. Please make sure to include the following:

  *   Name
  *   Shipping address
  *   Number of employees
  *   Languages your workers speak

We also have helpful materials about tick and mosquito diseases. Please click the links below for more information.
