The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition is working with Senator Fetterman's office to demonstrate the broad support for local food purchasing programs in Pennsylvania, such as the Local Food Purchase Assistance Program (LFPA) and Local Food in Schools (LFS).
There is a Senate Hearing this week where they will confirm a new Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs. We want to ensure that incoming leadership understands the importance of local food purchasing programs and how they support farm viability.
Senator Fetterman will deliver the following letter to Dudley Hoskins, the nominee under consideration, with an attached list of supportive Pennsylvania farmers.
If you are a farmer, agricultural producer, or agricultural business in support of these programs, please complete THIS FORM if you would like your farm to be included in the letter!
