Good Food Fest 2025 is on Sunday, November 2nd at Kimberton Fairgrounds! We are seeking event staff for pre-event and day-of event needs.
Good Food Fest is the ultimate celebration of local food & agriculture in the greater Philadelphia area - an epic farmers market and event that brings farmers, food makers, and the local community together in one place. It's held in Kimberton, PA (outside of Phoenixville in Chester County) on Sunday, November 2nd. Learn more about GFF here: www.goodfarmsgoodfood.com
GFF Event & training shifts are as follows:
Staff Training (VIRTUAL) –
THURSDAY 10/9 [Google Meet Video Call]: 5:30-7:30pm
* all event staff are required to attend; training shift will be paid at time of event payment
Pre-event set-up (at Kimberton Fairgrounds) –
FRIDAY 10/31 [Set-up]: 3pm - 7pm
SATURDAY 11/1 [Set-up]: 9am - 1pm
* paid event staff are required to work at least 1 set-up shift (Friday OR Saturday)
Day-of event help (at Kimberton Fairgrounds) –
SUNDAY 11/2 [Set-up + Load-in]: 6:30am - 10:30am
SUNDAY 11/2 [Fest shift 1]: 9am - 1:30pm
SUNDAY 11/2 [Fest shift 2]: 1pm - 4:30pm
SUNDAY 11/2 [Clean Up]: 4pm - 7:30pm
* paid event staff are required to work at least 2 Sunday shifts; 30 minute break provided along with/between shifts

DETAILS
All staff get a free GFF t-shirt, and a meal is provided to anyone working more than 5 hours.
Set-up duties include but are not limited to: set-up 8ft tables throughout the venue (carry with a partner), set-up folding chairs in the Demo Kitchen, install snow fence and posts, move picnic tables with a group, set-up high top tables, set-up canopy tents and signage, hang signage around the venue, set-up event trash cans, and arrange decor such as corn stalks, pumpkins, and mums around the venue.
Day-of event duties include but are not limited to: assisting with vendor load-in, selling merch, scanning tickets, directing traffic/parking, trash clean-up.
Breakdown duties include but are not limited to: remove snow fence and posts, collect all signage, clean up trash and bring it to the dumpster, remove all decor and set it aside for farmers to take, break down all 8ft tables and move them to the appropriate area, break down all Demo Kitchen folding chairs, sweep inside the large barn, clean indoor bathrooms, break down canopy tents and signage, and pack all event materials in the truck.
Opportunities to grow with GFF and join our year-round planning committee or become a Crew Captain for future events are available for interested parties!
PAYMENT
Hourly rate is commensurate on experience ($17-22/hour) and commitment to shift times / dates. Staff able to commit to 4+ shifts (over the weekend) will be prioritized.
All staff will be paid electronically within 2 weeks post-event.
This is a freelance position and will be paid as a 1099/contractor.
You will be prompted to select your payment preference on the google form: Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. If you don’t have any of these accounts, please select PayPal:
Even if you don’t have a PayPal account, we can still send money to an email address via PayPal which will prompt you to register in order to receive your funds.
If you’d like to receive payment via check, PayPal will mail a check to you for a $1.50 fee. After you create your PayPal account, select “accept money” and choose the mailed check option.
