Invitation to the U.S. Small Business Administration Meat Processing Industry Hearing - Listening Session State of Pennsylvania September 25, 2025 You are invited to participate in a special Meat Processing Industry hearing - listening session hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Offices of Rural Affairs and National Ombudsman. The session is part of a nationwide initiative to amplify the voices of small businesses in rural communities and revise the regulatory landscape. We value your input and collaboration in crafting meaningful solutions to regulatory challenges facing this industry. We will discuss specific regulatory hurdles, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and market access difficulties. As an industry crucial to the nation's food supply chain, we understand your businesses are forced to navigate an intricate network of federal, state, and local regulations. The interactive hearing - listening session is designed to gather input directly from you about specific hurdles you face, from health and safety compliance issues to navigating inspections and exporting. You will have the opportunity to share candid real-world experiences with SBA leadership directly. Tell us your pain points and the economic impact of existing regulations on your operations. Our offices are open to practical solutions for reducing administrative burdens across all federal agencies. Rural communities must be heard and remain central to regulatory, as well as policy discussions.
