Hello Pasa Community! Hope you enjoyed the Pasa Conference if you could attend. We’ve got another good gathering opportunity coming up. This is a smaller conference, taking place in two pole barns and capped at 200 people, so please register ASAP if interested.
The inaugural Mid-Atlantic Agroforestry Conference is now open for registration! This year’s event is focused on Forest Farming and Multifunctional Buffers. It is hosted by the Penn State Extension Forestry and Wildlife Team, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, NOFA-NJ, NC State University, Maryland Forest Service, Delaware Department of Agriculture, and other partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic. We’re thankful to have a great group of speakers joining us to make this happen!
This in-person event will give agroforesters, forest landowners, new and beginning farmers, service providers and conservation professionals insight into our region’s state of agroforestry, products and marketing approaches, and case studies from practitioners.
The conference will be held June 4–5, 2026, at the Special Events Building, Ag Progress Days site in Pennsylvania Furnace, PA. The two-day event will have a variety of programs, with a mixture of presentations, panels, tours, workshops, and networking opportunities, designed to build connections across agroforestry networks and build on knowledge to expand accessibility, productivity, and sustainability.
You can register at https://extension.psu.edu/mid-atlantic-agroforestry-conference. Please feel welcome to share this announcement. Note that this conference is relatively small, limited to 200 attendees. For that reason, we are starting with targeted outreach before it is widely announced through Penn State, DCNR and other partners. We encourage you to register early as we anticipate this conference will fill up fast.
Thanks and best wishes,
Robbie
