PITTSBURGH: Seeking Farm Partners & Camping Leads for Summer Youth Program

Hey y'all! 👋

We are gearing up for Field2Fork, a summer workforce program for youth at Oasis Farm in Homewood. We're looking for leads on local farms & group camping sites (within 3 hours of the Pittsburgh) that would be a great fit for a field trip and/or overnight trip with our young people!

Here's what we're working with:

• 10 youth (ages 14–24) + 2–5 staff/interns

• Field trip days: Tuesdays or Thursdays, 10 AM–1 PM, July 7–24

• Camping trip: 1–2 nights, July 31–Aug 4

• Modest budget for honorariums/program fees

• Happy to exchange volunteer tasks, herbs, and/ or seeds as part of our visit!

We're looking for farms that are welcoming to youth of color, open to hands-on learning experiences, and ideally mission-aligned around youth empowerment, community, land stewardship, and culturally responsive food systems. Thank you! 🙏
