September already! We here at Keystone Tree Crops Cooperative (KTCC) are excited to update you on some big news.
As we're gearing up for this year's harvest season, our main focus this fall is continuing to develop a network of producers and gatherers to meet our processing target for yellowbud hickory oil and chestnut harvest. A squirrel told us that some nuts have begun to fall. We anticipate the peak harvest will last from mid-September through mid-October.

We are purchasing yellowbud hickory nuts and chestnuts this year. We anticipate producing 50 gallons of oil from yellowbud hickory nuts (Carya cordiformis) this year. If you have yellowbud hickories or chestnuts to sell us email har...@ktcc.coop
