Hello,
I work for an Ag Service non-profit (Berkshire Grown), and one of our farmers members reached out to me for support with an issue regarding their compost purchase this season. He says:
"We bought 400 yards of compost that appears to be green and has no nitrogen to speak of. As a result we missed markets for all of June and the fields are starting to pop now that we are using fish emulsions to supplement the lack of nitrogen. We sent 4 soil samples out to UMass, 2 from the fields and two from our greenhouses (as a control). I would like legal help since I am not sure what our rights are."
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with similar situation or guidance on how to advise him?
Thank you!
Alyssa
