Hi all,
I wanted to share a project I've been working on that I think will interest some folks in this community.
I just launched The Keystone Spore, a newsletter focused on building a free, searchable statewide directory of Pennsylvania's specialty, gourmet, and medicinal mushroom cultivators and PDA-approved wild mushroom foragers. The directory, called the Keystone Spore Map, will connect local growers and foragers with the consumers, chefs, and herbalists looking for them. Plus, it will give Pennsylvania's specialty mushroom community a platform it's been missing.
The first issue is live now and includes a short buyer survey and grower and forager intake forms. If you're a specialty mushroom cultivator or PDA-approved forager selling commercially in Pennsylvania, I'd love to have you on the map. If you work with buyers, chefs, or food systems folks who source locally grown mushrooms, the buyer survey would be a valuable five minutes of their time.
This is a Pennsylvania-focused project built for and with the PA agricultural community—exactly the kind of people in this group. I'd love your support in spreading the word.
