Hi, Team:
I was forwarded the invitation attached (description below) as they hope to have local farms participate in the food show event. There are no requirements to be a registered vendor with Penn State before attending and there are no requirements on size or scale, but I’m assuming that it’s be necessary to have a certain level of production to participate in food service.
Feel free to share with farms and food artisans you think could benefit! It’s free to attend.
On August 7th of this year, ABS is planning on hosting a food show. The show will be open to all ABS Staff and possibly other nearby schools and nonprofits. This will be an opportunity for suppliers to meet firsthand with the HFS and ABS teams. I was thinking this may be a great opportunity to have small, local suppliers (farmers, etc) introduced to the PSU team. I have attached some additional information. I am hoping that your team may have some contacts that we do not for local suppliers that may be interested in participating. Shawn Bice will be gathering a list on interested suppliers. It will be free for suppliers to attend and would be a great opportunity!
