Hi folks!

I'm writing on behalf of Collective Creamery, a scrappy local cheese subscription service based in Southeast Pennsylvania. For years, we managed admin, marketing, and sales with a combination of spreadsheets, Mailchimp, and Squarespace and sold discrete summer and winter seasons.

Last year, we wanted to try experimenting with a rolling subscription, and Farmigo seemed the best way to go. A year later, we're reassessing and looking at other options for CSA/subscription box management (including going back to the spreadsheet method).

I'd love to know if you love your CSA/subscription management software, especially if it's designed for very small businesses. We don't really need crop or logistics planning tools—something that is easy for members and for us to navigate, has lots of functionality for marketing and member communications, and is low cost would be ideal.

Thanks for any recommendations you can share!

Alexandra

I would suggest looking at Shopify to pull it all together.  I checked most all solutions out and found Shopify was the most efficient, most flexible, and most comfortable for my customers to get the best experience - I've been there since around 2018.

The ability for all your apps to work together will save you a ton of time you can spend on marketing.  Gaining efficiency is how you scale your business, so getting automated systems & processes in order is a key component for scaling.

Shopify also works with QuickBooks online to import sales and payout data (easiest if you only do only do online sales).

Generally, the lowest-price Shopify subscription will get you the basic features you need, and several apps can customize the subscription part if the native software doesn't offer the features you want.

You can continue to use Mailchimp as your email provider or move to a more sophisticated integration like Klayvio, which I use.

Many large brands use Shopify, and there is good support available because it is not an industry-specific solution - including more innovation and apps for flexibility.

I highly recommend you check out Shelley Easter's information - I am in her Shop School and the cost is well worth it for her to review your site and the tidbits she shares.
