The 1st Mid-Atlantic Agroforestry Conference is fast approaching! Register now to be a part of this exciting event, coming up in just 4 weeks.
This conference is focused on Forest Farming and Multifunctional Buffers. It is hosted by the Penn State Extension Forestry and Wildlife Team, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, NOFA-NJ, NC State University, Maryland Forest Service, Delaware Department of Agriculture, and other partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic. We’re thankful to have a great group of speakers joining us to make this happen!
This in-person event will give agroforesters, forest landowners, new and beginning farmers, service providers and conservation professionals insight into our region’s state of agroforestry, products and marketing approaches, and case studies from practitioners.
The conference will be held June 4–5, 2026, at the Special Events Building, Ag Progress Days site in Pennsylvania Furnace, PA. The two-day event will have a variety of programs, with a mixture of presentations, panels, tours, workshops, and networking opportunities, designed to build connections across agroforestry networks and build on knowledge to expand accessibility, productivity, and sustainability.
You can learn more and register at https://extension.psu.edu/mid-atlantic-agroforestry-conference. Note that this conference is relatively small, limited to 200 attendees, and we are already more than half full – if you plan to attend, we encourage you to register as soon as possible! If you are in the Ohio River Watershed of PA or WV and you need financial assistance to register, please contact Dylan Heagy <dy...@pasafarming.org> as Pasa Sustainable Agriculture has reimbursement-based assistance available for MAC registrants from that region.
We appreciate your help sharing this gathering opportunity with your networks.
Thanks and best wishes,
Robbie
