Congratulations on your appointments. You are appreciated for stepping up to serve the neighborhood. And we will support you so it does not become too much of a burden.

I do not have Mitch's email yet so please share with him?

Two items I am managing that I need you to approve and provide guidance with a decision:
Neighborhood Yard Sale proposal: I heard back from Hannah Vaughan, Park Ridge East Association President. They will stage their neighborhood yard sale on Saturday, May 14. They are good with pairing our neighborhoods on the advertisement. Hannah agrees that advertising on social media (free) is the best way to advertise but they have many PRE residents who still want to advertise in the Herald Times per past practice. We have the funds in our PR account to pitch in a few bucks, but your call. I recall the entire ad to run 2-3 days is no more than $15-$20 so split between us would be probably $10. The post-pandemic cost might be more. I can even pay it myself if needed as I plan to yard sale for sure.
Let me know if you think we should move forward and I can take responsibility for posting on CraigsList, Facebook MarketPlace, etc. and post the signs at the PR entrances. I have signs already made from past years to reuse.

Food trucks; Hannah Vaughan also manages the food truck sign up lisy and here is what she shared with me early this morning:

Hannah: Regarding food trucks, we are asking neighborhoods to choose a recurring day, one/month from May-September. Park Ridge East will be doing the first Monday of the month. Other dates claimed are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursdays, as well as 1st Tuesdays. Once your crew finalizes a day I'll put it on the sign up. I'm still in talks with the city for permissions so final scheduling isn't done yet. I'm using the website/app Sign Up Genius this year, to try and improve on our routine last year. The vendors keep weekends for special events, so Mon-Thurs are the only options for these recurring events.

We will put an ad in the paper, I'm guessing, I tend to agree it's not necessary with social media, but some of our board prefers more traditional methods.

So we need you to decide to have a monthly food truck(s) ASAP and select a day of the month. The list fills quickly. I need your approval and what day of the month assuming we do one per month. You can see what days are already taken above. When I say trucks, Hannah suggests one truck for the entrees and one for a deseert. I will also take responsibility to check in with all neighbors bordering the park circle to insure they are cool with the monthly food truck event close to their homes. In the past all were fine with it and in fact encouraged such gastronomy events.
But I will still check in with them to be sure we have their approval.

additional: I will get with you soon to transfer the Park Ridge checking/savings accounts to Mitch and Christine. Currently Katie Herron and I are the account holders. It will require one trip to the IU Credit Union on S. Woodcrest close to Eastland Plaza.

Let me know? thanks -
