It's happening! Open source dual-band ADSBee is on the horizon :)

I just placed the PO for assembly of the first production run of ADSBee 1090U receivers, and preorders are now open! All receiver PCBAs ship with WiFi antennas, and antennas / connectors for the 1090MHz + sub-GHz inputs are available separately or as a bundled option.

The first 30 preorders to use the coupon code pcb-antennas-pls with the ADSBee 1090U + PCB Antenna Bundle get the antennas for free ($12 discount). If you'd like to bring your own antennas and U.FL connectors, no problem! The ADSBee 1090U PCBA is available as a standalone device (with WiFi FPC antenna included).

If the higher-gain sleeve dipole antennas included with the original ADSBee 1090 beta kit are more your cup of tea, or you want a 3D-printed enclosure for your ADSBee 1090U, a dual-band receiver enclosure with 1090 and 978MHz antennas is available as a bundle. Tariff impacts on the sleeve dipole antennas were significant, but selling them as part of a bundle lets me reduce the cost.

Lastly, if you're interested in developing on the ADSBee 1090U, I have a limited quantity of developer breakout boards available. These interface with the new high-density debug connector and expose all kinds of goodies, including SWD and cJTAG access to the RP2040 and CC1312R, USB JTAG access to the ESP32, and lots of logic lines that can be poked at with a logic analyzer or oscilloscope.

Receivers are expected to ship in early July, and will initially ship with single band firmware (1090MHz). Dual-band firmware targeting reception of 978MHz UAT is under development and will be released as a series of firmware updates that can be applied over USB or WiFi.

Thanks for being a part of the project!
