Pack 65, What a weekend!  Hopefully everyone was able to get out and enjoy the weather. March is a busy month for Scouting.  We have our Big Trip coming up this weekend, then our Speed Shop,  AOL crossover, then it's BBQ weekend, and all topped off with Pinewood Derby!! Please read below for details  as we have sign-ups below for BBQ volunteers and Summer Camp. Scout BBQ! Saturday March 21st we will be selling pulled pork, beans, slaw, Brunswick stew and banana pudding. This is one of the biggest fundraisers we have each year which helps pay for major costs. Please get the word out by telling your family, friends, neighbors, etc. and letting them know we are taking presales (link below).  There is a dropdown to credit sales for the Cubs specifically. Click the link below for a signup for shifts for Scouts and parents to work starting with prep on Thursday and Friday evenings and sales sites around town on Saturday. The Pack families should sign up for banana pudding, Brunswick stew, or Saturday sales site staffin (in 2 hour blocks 10-12, 12-2, and 2-4).  Our biggest need is for folks to support the sales sites on Saturday. It’s a chance for Scouts to come out and get assistance to build their Pinewood Derby cars. We will have volunteers and tools on hand to help get cars started and possibly even finished for the race.  Please RSVP for a slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B4DA4A82CA4FB6-62678783-speed On Friday 3/27 starting at 6 PM we will have our weigh-in as well as our Blue and Gold party to celebrate the birthday of Scouting.  Come on out and enjoy pizza, marvel at the amazing racecars, and watch a movie with your Scout friends. Pinewood Derby will be 3/28 starting at 9 AM in the Kerr building. Our outlaw race will be held starting at 1 PM.  After much deliberation we have decided there will be two categories. We will have a powered and non-powered race.  The powered race will allow anything that is not flammable as a driving force.  The non-powered race will be for gravity-based racers. The limits for length and width will apply for either race due to the track size and timing equipment. If you have questions please let us know! Summer Camp!!! These discount cards are great a way to raise funds for Scout trips and summer camp. These cards include hundreds of dollars in discounts and sell for just $10, making it an easy sell to friends, families, co-workers and more. For each camp card a Scout sells, $5 will go into the Scout's account to help pay for any Scout related activities. If you are interested in selling, please see Mr. Shaun to get as many cards you need. The money from your card sales and any unsold cards must be turned in by April 20th.
