Pack 65, We have some fun coming up this week. Tomorrow is our Chik-fil-A Scout spirit day benefitting the Pack and the Troops.  Please tell your friends! Tomorrow at 6:30 PM is our monthly committee meeting. Please join us to help with planning our future activities. This weekend we have our monthly pack hike!  Details below.   Scout Spirit Day at Chik-fil-A on 1/12 It’s time for another Scout spirit event to help fundraise for Pack 65, Troop 65, and Troop 1265.  On January 12th use code "pack65" (case-sensitive) when you go to Chik-fil-A and we will receive a portion of sales as a donation from the wonderful folks at Chik-fil-A in Mint Hill. 7404 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd Mint Hill, NC 28227 Big Trip 2026 - Overnight Safari @ Riverbanks Zoo   We’re heading to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC for our Big Trip this year. The zoo will provide a pizza dinner, evening snack, and continental breakfast.  NOTE: ALL guests must be 5 or older. Cost is $95/person. THINGS TO BRING: We recommend packing light as you will carry your items a short distance into the park to the area you will be sleeping. Please mark all items with names to avoid mix-ups when preparing to leave. Signed Release Waiver Signed Chaperone Contract (adults) Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and pillow Toiletries Comfortable walking shoes Modest pajamas Water bottle Change of clothes Appropriate outer wear Camera (optional) Bug spray (optional) Flashlight for adults only Sample Schedule: 6:00 PM Arrive at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden 6:15 PM Welcome! Drop-off luggage, review safety and expectations 7:00 PM Dinner 7:30 PM Evening education program, activities, scavenger hunt and snack 10:00 PM Get ready for bed 10:30 PM Lights Out 7:00 AM Rise and Shine!! Pack up belongings and load in vehicles. 8:00 AM Breakfast 8:30 AM Guided Tour/Activity 9:00 AM Goodbyes. Enjoy the rest of the day at the Zoo! We have 2 options since the pack is so large and the Zoo already has enough wildlife.  We have made reservations for 2 nights to accommodate so we need each family to choose Friday night (3/6) OR Saturday night (3/7). We need final numbers and payment by 2/16. This is an out and back hike and will be about 3 miles. There’s a suspension bridge along the trail where we’ll stop for a break before turning back.
