Hi Everyone,

This Saturday, March 7, Pacific Rowing Club will host the Pacific Invite Regatta at Lake Merced — bringing together athletes, coaches, and families from across our region for a full day of racing and community.

Events like this are more than just races. They are opportunities to grow the sport of rowing, create meaningful experiences for athletes, and strengthen the connections across clubs and communities that make our sport special.

One of the most impactful ways to be part of that experience is by volunteering.

Whether you are a PRC parent, junior, master rower, alum, board member, friend, member of the California Dragon Boaters Association, or part of a visiting rowing team, volunteering offers a unique chance to step behind the scenes and contribute to something bigger than any one race.

Many of the roles are fun, active, and close to the racing — from dock operations and course support to hospitality and event logistics. No experience is required, and our team will provide guidance and support.

We are also requesting that visiting teams consider providing 1–3 volunteers to help support the shared success of the event.

Volunteer Training Opportunities
Optional training sessions are available this week to help volunteers feel comfortable and prepared:

On-Water Volunteer Training
Tuesday, March 3
7:30 – 8:30 PM

On-Land Volunteer Training

*You will receive a calendar invitation after signing up.

Event Day Check-In
All volunteers should check in at the Volunteer Tent upon arrival to receive:

  • A free Event Volunteer shirt
  • Role assignment
  • Radio (if needed)
  • Instructions and materials
  • Get to Meet PRC Boathouse Dog, Indy!

Our team will be there to help guide you and ensure you have everything you need.

Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways we can support athletes and continue building a strong, inclusive rowing community. We truly appreciate everyone who steps forward to help make this event possible.

If you have any questions or would like help choosing a role, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you for being part of Pacific Rowing Club and the broader rowing community.

Best,

Andre Kleijn
