Hello Pacific Rowing Club Community,
At Pacific Rowing Club our rowers are not just athletes. They are a community of passionate individuals who embody a spirit of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. In order to support their relentless pursuit of excellence, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming fundraising event – the Pacific Row-A-Thon!
The Row-A-Thon is not just a fundraiser, it's a celebration of our athletes' dedication and a chance for our community to come together in support. As always, all funds raised will go directly towards providing our athletes with state-of-the-art equipment. Rowing is a sport that demands precision, technique, and top-notch gear. Your generous contribution will help us acquire new equipment that is crucial for our athletes to compete at the highest level.
On January 27th, rowers will be divided into three teams: black, red, and white, for an exhilarating 12-hour rowing machine (aka erg) competition. The objective is for each team to cover the maximum distance possible on their team’s ergs within the given time frame. To ensure everyone's active participation, rowers will trade off every 30 minutes, allowing each member to contribute to the team's success. This event not only serves as a physical challenge but also fosters team building and camaraderie among the participants. The distance covered by each team will be tracked, and a post-event celebration is planned to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of all participants, with potential prizes for the winning team. Ultimately, the goal is to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
