Getting Ready for San Diego!

The Cove was busy last Saturday morning as we continued training for WZ OW Champs! PASA and PSL were navigating bouys, while TCA had youth on a charter from Alcatraz. Our swimmers Ava L.-PSL and Alexys B.-PASA both visited us after they finished Alcatraz!! We had an unexpected and exciting downpour as we got underway which was a treat for those of us already wet! This was the exact opposite weather conditions we were expecting, which was a great lesson in preparation for anything in open water swimming!

A huge thanks to our parent volunteers, especially water safety crew Stefanie and Mark! USA swimming’s success has always been through the hands of parent volunteer work. Consider getting involved if you haven’t already. If you think of an idea to add to the group experience, create your position and rally some others around it. Check with your coaches if they have something you could pick up.

Last Training before WZ OW Champs on Sept 28th in San Diego!  - Trips are being planned and we have one final training to check gear and practice sighting. Same training format “Bouy Challenge”; come log some buoys!
