Thank you again for volunteering, and my apologies for the delay in
following up.
Later this week I'll send you an Overview of Testing that will explain
in more detail:
--which areas I'd like each of us to focus on,
--how to report bugs or problems you encounter,
--how to document your experience with the interface
In the meantime, I'd like to get started with Podcasting for
Automation. I've created a document called "Intro to AudioPort
Podcasts." It attempts to introduce podcasting to the uninitiated, and
explain how to test this feature on the new AudioPort site. You can
view the document here:
http://bit.ly/adpt-podcast-intro
I'd like to ask those of you with an interest in this area to review
this document, and begin testing podcasts on the new AudioPort site
(www.audioport.org:8084).
Please record your observations on the following areas of functionality:
1) creating series & assigning programs to existing series;
2) browsing & searching for series;
3) subscribing to series podcasts using a desktop podcatcher;
I would also like feedback on the "Intro to AudioPort Podcasts"
document itself (http://bit.ly/adpt-podcast-intro), which will the
basis for AudioPort user documentation.
Thanks again for your help,
Doug George
I am really looking forward to a consistent RSS/Podcast feed to have show
automatically downloaded. I have a few setup right now with the
test-audioport-2.0 and it works well. I haven't touched it in the last two
weeks, and everything gets done automagically.
I am going back for more shows. I know I shouldn't use this test-bed for
production, but there are shows I've been waiting years to play.
I would appreciate a HEADS UP from someone before the test-sight is taken
away - I may have to move some feeds.
Thanks for all your work!
- Dan
I don't know if Doug responded to your email. He was waylaid this
month for an emergency project. Please let me know if you do not get
any response.
