Hi Aastha, Saman and all,

As I’ve mentioned several times in the past, I agree that all active committee members should be kept in the loop and should have a say in major decisions. Input from committed, active members is what keeps the committees growing, and we’ve worried so hard over time to make that happen. 

Looking forward to discussing this in greater detail during upcoming monthly committee meetings, and on this mailing list.

Thanks, Aastha for raising the concern and I agree with you - it is not about the position in concern but the process of communication to the active contributors so that we can participate as well.
I have also been contributing in every possible way to the community with sessions or panels and since I was also traveling with family in March and April I could not make it to the meeting day and time.

Happy to discuss this concern in the next meeting.

Thanks for your email. I certainly know only officers have right to vote but everyone has right to know when something like this happens so that they can lan to participate and I missed 2 meetups and there would be many like me who would have appreciated knowing about this. Before that there was nothing like this ever being discussed. 

We also missed you in our last few meetups, I guess everyone won’t be able to make to all meetups all the time so if anything like big is happening it should be broadcasted as part of process and planning.
