OWASP and ISSA have partnered with Secure Code Warrior for a new
approach to secure coding training. This April we'll be holding a
secure coding tournament!
Bring your wi-fi enabled laptop with a modern browser to RIT on
April 6th at 5:30pm. Tell your friends and compete with them on
our live scoreboard.
In this time-limited event, you'll tackle a series of secure
coding challenges and be required to locate the insecurity,
identify the solution, and fix the vulnerability.
There's a wide range of software languages and frameworks to
choose from but we recommend selecting the one you use most often.
We'll have pizza and soda for everyone to enjoy. And for those
that reach the top three spots on the scoreboard, we'll have
trophies and prizes to give away.
RSVPs are being handled by Ralph, so please reply to this message
and we'll add you to the list!

If there are others in your organization that would be interested
in some great free secure development training, please pass along
this invite.
I haven't tried the Secure Code Warriors training yet, but in
other circles were security professionals are discussing the best
secure development training to purchase for their organization,
this training has received a lot of positive comments. And we get
to try it for free! So pass the word on this opportunity, we have
plenty of space, but we need everyone to RSVPs.
Thanks,

ROC OWASP,
Unfortunately the HackROC Secure Coding Tournament that was scheduled for April 6 has to be canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. We may be able to have a virtual on-line event in future, but we'll have to talk more about how to make that happen, and see if there is sufficient interest.
Sorry,
