Hi Board,

I've published the 2026 Board meetings, including the closed Board meeting to be scheduled on January 5, 2026, which is our next meeting.

The bylaws are silent on if this needs to be a public or private meeting, so I have scheduled it as a private Board meeting. All 2026 Board members should have a Zoom invite to the meeting.

The agenda is published at:

Lastly, I have delayed October 2026's Board meeting to be a week later to be held at AppSec USA, as is our norm. I've also moved December 2026's Board meeting to be on December 15. You should have a calendar invite with all necessary changes in your inboxes.

thanks,
Andrew

Thanks Andrew.

While you are correct that the bylaws are silent, IMO this absolutely must be in a public meeting.

In the past, we used to have a preliminary private meeting, where are all the arguments are hashed out, and then the official voting in the public meeting.

Tbh I don’t think this worked great either, eg 2023 kinda proved that…

Bottom line, I think the vote for officers should be in a public meeting – and now that you raise it, I would strongly urge the next board to amend the bylaws to this effect, specifically Clause 6.3, to specify that this would be a public meeting.

Regards,

Avi D
