OWASP EU directors

Hi Andrew,

 

Question re directors we need for the OWASP EU board.

 

Can you list the specific responsibilities that are expected? Eg how often do they have to meet in person, what work they need to do, etc.

And, are we offering any benefits to the volunteer directors? E.g. conference attendance for example…

Great questions. 

They are legally required to attend one meeting per year. They could meet more often, but they would need to publish the schedule and allow public attendance, as the main board does. 

It would be ideal if they could have their annual general meeting in person at the AppSec EU conference. I'd be happy to have their travel costs covered for that conference. 

If the Board decides to expand to include say two members of the OWASP EU Board on the main OWASP Board, then I would suggest that you would also cover their costs to go to the Board Summit and two AppSecs per year for those two Directors.

Hi Ricardo,

At least one director needs to be both a resident of Belgium and a Belgian national. It would be preferable whilst we are getting the entity set up for all Directors to have those qualifications so we can easily get them to meet with the public notary during the establishment and getting a bank account set up.
