Longer Zoom meetings?

By chance as one of the services to clubs does Orienteering USA have a Zoom account that can host longer than 40 minute meetings for its member clubs and if not would it not be a good idea to have one?

Great idea I will bring it up at the informal board call tonight. 

OUSA has Google Meet etc. so I will see if or how club use would be possible with our current subscription

We could probably give clubs a club gmail account under the ousa domain and then they could set up meetings in Google Meet.

Google Meets also offers closed captioning for those of us with poor hearing.

For Zoom, even when you get kicked out after 40 mins, you can log straight back in. So you need to warn people that this will happen but you'll carry on the meeting, once everyone logs back in using the same link.

You log back in using the same link?  Don't have to have a new meeting set up?  And then the clock resets for another 40 minutes?

No, it surprised me too! You don't even need to set up a new meeting - you can use exactly the same log in information.
