Club leaders,
Many of the OUSA clubs will have mappers, either professional or hobbyists, who get their LiDAR and perhaps other information from NOAA.
I do, a lot!
So I just received this information below that their Data Access Viewer underwent an upgrade in July.
Since then some of us have been experiencing a problem.
The reason and the solution are explained below.
With their permission I am passing this on to you. Please pass this on to those you know who are making orienteering maps.

Subject: Data Access Viewer Search Problems

Dear NOAA Digital Coast Data Access Viewer User,

This email was sent to you because you have used the Data Access Viewer in the last year, but not after a recent change that may be affecting your ability to use the application.

In July, 2025, our Data Access Viewer app (https://coast.noaa.gov/dataviewer) changed data services for searching. We have noticed a number of users are having trouble because their browser is running a cached version of the app and they do not receive results from their searches. If you're having this problem, you can solve it by either of these solutions:

1. Hard reload the application (usually control-F5 on Windows, Cmd-Shift-R on Mac) in the browser tab with the app open. This is the recommended option as it only affects the app.
2. Clear your browser cache.

Respectfully,

The Digital Coast Data Team
