Hi clubs,

LiveLox is in the process of rolling out a dedicated GPS tracker. These trackers operate off the 4G cellular network, and can be used with Livelox to record routes or to view live tracking during an event. An individual might use this tracker if they don't have a smartphone or GPS watch to record their route. A possible use case would be to have a set of trackers for your club's juniors/youth, or for those who don't want to risk taking their phone into the woods, for example.

Some general info on their trackers is available here: GPS_Trackers. This page describes their 2G tracker, which will not work in the US due to the US 2G network no longer being active. Their 4G trackers are not on the website yet, but will work as the 2G trackers do. Some additional info on the new, 4G trackers:
  • Dimensions: 62 × 54 × 20 mm (2.44 × 2.13 × 0.79 inches)
  • Weight: 70 grams
  • Battery: 6–7 hours of continuous use at highest accuracy
  • Charger: USB Type-C
  • SIM: Unlimited data included for 5 years (covers 130+ countries, including the USA, Canada, and Europe).
  • Current price: $140/unit
I've already spoken to a couple of clubs individually about their interest in these trackers. I'm now in the process of working with LiveLox to determine the cheapest way for OUSA clubs to purchase trackers. To do this, i need to know how many trackers OUSA clubs or members are interested in purchasing some.

If you or your club has interest in a set of these trackers, or have more questions, please reply to me.

Thanks,
Dylan Poe
