Grants for camps

Dear orienteering friends,

The American Camping Association, which is the main accrediting body for camps, has recently opened up a funding opportunity. Camps may apply for a grant from the Character at Camp Initiative, for amounts ranging from $5,000 to $300,000. Our contacts at the ACA have encouraged us to recommend to camps that they include orienteering programming in their application. We have prepared a two-page document for camps with suggested wording and budget for implementing orienteering at their camps. 

Please share this with any camps you are connected with, via direct relationships to clubs, through contacts with any of your members. If clubs could share this information out to your members, I would very much appreciate it.
