OUSA board vacancy

Fellow OUSA members,

The OUSA plans on filling a vacancy on the OUSA board during our upcoming meeting scheduled for the evening of next Monday, February 24th. This vacancy will be the result of Nathan Ohrwaschel resigning from the board after several years of service as both a board member and OUSA's point of contact with our insurance broker. I think I can speak for the rest of the board and hopefully all of OUSA in thanking him for years of service past and continuing - he'll be stepping down as a board member but has agreed to continue dealing with our insurance. In any case, there's no emergency - we have an OUSA member willing to be appointed to fill the vacancy until this year's AGM waiting in the wings - but the board aspires to a level of transparency at least such as to involve informing the membership at large when a vacancy arises on the board so that any interested and qualified OUSA member has the opportunity to be a candidate to fill said vacancy. If any OUSA member out there would like to be considered for appointment to fill this seat until the AGM (at which time whoever is appointed may or may not then run as an incumbent to sit on the board until what would have been the end of Nathan's term), please contact me at VPComp...@orienteeringusa.org.
