Upcoming OUSA board elections - nominations status

With the OUSA Annual General Meeting almost upon us, we are in the unusual position of not having needed to recruit any new candidates for seats on the Board of Directors - all of the four board members whose terms end in 2025 are running for reelection and the two board members who have been appointed to fill vacancies on the board since the last AGM - Nike Weber of GCO and Radu Greavu of AOC - have also both decided to run to serve out the remainder of the three year terms for the seats they were appointed to. Any and all OUSA members in good standing who have ever thought of someday serving on the board can in good conscience keep their powder dry for some future year in which the board may have a greater need for new blood (or blood of any vintage). That said, any OUSA member for at least the minimum duration required by the bylaws and currently in good standing has a right to run for open board seats and our system is designed to ensure that board seats open up every year. So if anyone out there other than the incumbents greatly desires to run for one of the 6 board seats up for grabs in this cycle, please contact me ASAP to say so. This will permit us to plan in advance the details of how best to run the election as efficiently as possible, in contrast to a more chaotic (though absolutely within the rules) alternative scenario involving one or more nominations from the floor during the AGM.
