2023 JWOC Team Trials Announcement

The 2023 Junior World Orienteering Championships will take place July 1-9 in Baia Mare, Romania. TeamUSA will be hosting selection races to select up to 6 men and 6 women athletes born in 2003 or later for spots on the 2023 JWOC team. The Team Trials will be held in conjunction with the 2023 OUSA Nationals / Flying Pig XXV on the weekend of March 24-26, 2023 in Kentucky and will feature a Sprint/Middle/Long 3-race format. Only 16 short weeks away.

While all aspiring team members are strongly encouraged to prioritize the Team Trials races, it is recognized that extenuating circumstances may prevent some from being present in Kentucky this March. ALL petitioners to the team MUST register for the Team Trials as Non-Competitive since the EventReg portal will serve as declaration of candidacy for the team.

An official announcement has been posted to the Orienteering USA website with links to the Selection Criteria along with a link to the most recent JWOC '23 Event Bulletin. Start planning now and good luck with your training!
