Hello Club Leaders,

In Florida a big part of our orienteering is the participation by JROTC teams. 

The teams are actually partners in planning and staging the events. They earn a share of the fees and they take on some of the expense. 

These high schools sometimes 'front' our applications to parks for permission to hold events. I bet you know the advantage of that.

But this is not about that.

They also get their share of compliments which often get forwarded to me and this one I'd like to forward to you just in case you are thinking of getting more involved with JROTC orienteering. 

These JROTC orienteers and their leaders are just great people to interact with.

We had just over 200 people -cadets, leaders, parents, siblings, etc - at the event.

I want to compliment you for running a smooth, organized and educational activity today. I was volunteering in the Nature Center, and every young person who came in was polite and well-behaved, which is amazing considering all the participants.

As a member of the Friends of Oscar Scherer, I want to express my thanks for bringing young people to a natural area for fun, fellowship, education and friendly competition.

Not enough teens are exposed to activities that help them grow into responsible adults that treat both their fellowman and nature with care.
