Coming up on April 11th, the next O-Forum is scheduled to demo event administration software.  The software that reads in your e-punches at the download and presents results live or exports what you see on the website after the event.

Joseph Huberman from BOK will be demonstrating SI-Droid.

If any event directors would like to demonstrate what you use, please let me and Joseph know. We would hopefully be able to get 3 or 4 presentations in with time for questions.

From reviewing clubs' results, this seems to be some of the more popular software:

Ór - https://www.orienteering.ie/or/

MeOS - https://www.melin.nu/meos/en/

Sportident's software - https://www.sportident.com/orienteering-app.html

OE20XX - various versions http://www.sportsoftware.de/orienteering

SI-Droid - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.joja.sidroid.event.full

Some general things to show about the software would be:

* hardware/OS it runs on

* adding events and courses

* types of courses supported (classic, score-O, etc.)

* how a competitor downloads

* how to edit a competitor

* printing a competitor's results

* displaying results

* exporting results

* is it easy to connect the download box and printer

and anything else that makes the software helpful.

Hold the presses on this.  I may have misunderstood the date and it's for the May forum, which would be good to give presenters more time to prepare.

The April 11th O-Forum is on the Youth Mapping Program

The software O-Forum is May 14th.

Presenters shouldn't be giving a detailed tutorial on all the aspects of the program. Rather they should be focusing on the basics of using it.

We generally like half the time for presentation and half for questions. So if we have 3 presentations they could be 10 minutes long.

We have a practice run-through a few days before so you can get some feedback and work out any bugs before the O-Forum.

Actually, that's a good question for Joseph, I may have misunderstood which month's forum he was talking about at the last board chat.

What's the date for doing event software, Joseph?

Did YMP get bumped?  I thought Barb was going to discuss YMP next month?  But I've been on the road for a week and a half, perhaps I missed something?
