Hello Everyone!

I wanted to reach out with some news that I thought you should hear from me first! After much thought, I have decided that I will not be returning as the Baker Ag teacher and FFA advisor next year.

With an (almost!) 6-month-old, I have decided that it is time to move into a role that gives me a more flexible schedule and allows me to be home with him more often.

That being said, you're not getting rid of me that easily! I'm excited to share that I'll be staying involved in a new capacity as the Montana FFA Foundation's Development & Operations Coordinator.

Because of this transition, the Baker AgEd position will be open next year! I cannot say enough good things about this program and these kids. We currently have about 40 active FFA members and have seen a ton of success in CDEs and LDEs, including 6 state champion teams/individuals and a 5th place national finish. We were also the 2nd place Star Chapter last year. These students are phenomenal and deserve the very best, which is what made this decision so difficult!

For rural Montana, Baker actually has a lot going on! From a lake, three coffee shops, grocery store, bowling alley and much more. The school district is very competitive in pay, including an FFA coaching stipend and a 20-day extended contract, and also offers very affordable teacher housing. On top of that, our high school principal was named this year's MAAE Administrator of the Year, so you would have incredible support stepping into this role.

I believe in this program and these students so much, and I will do anything I can to help find the right person for this role. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions! I would absolutely love to visit with you or show you around Baker if you are interested!

Thanks for everything, I am so excited to continue working with you all in this new role!
