Hello All!

Thanks for the opportunity to chair the Montana State FFA Degree Review Committee in 2026. I also want to sincerely thank Seth Whitney for his years of service as committee chair and for his willingness to remain on the committee as we transition leadership. His experience and continued support are greatly appreciated.

With this leadership change, it is also an exciting time to update and modernize our Montana State FFA Degree process. By moving to an AET records-based State Degree, Montana joins more than 25 other states in shifting toward a records-based evaluation of SAE and leadership involvement. This change helps ensure the State FFA Degree continues to recognize the very best of the best.

To support this transition, we will be hosting an overview and submission process webinar on Monday, February 9 at 4:00 PM. This webinar will walk through the new application and submission process for the State FFA Degree. Please note that paper copies will not be accepted this year—all applications must be submitted through AET. Attending this webinar is strongly encouraged so you know what to expect and how the process will work.

The committee will also be reviewing applications directly through AET’s online system. Applications that require corrections or edits will be marked within AET, along with comments and guidance on what needs to be addressed for an applicant to receive the 2026 State FFA Degree. Since this process is new to Montana, attending the February 9 meeting will be especially important.

Attached to this email, you will find the State FFA Degree guidelines, which we will also review during the webinar. These guidelines are designed to help ensure a smooth and successful State Degree approval process.

Thank you for your continued work supporting your students and the Montana FFA. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I’m happy to help. I look forward to working with you through this transition.

Best,
Jemma
