Alpha Gamma Rho is doing the dance on Friday evening from 8-10 and they will be charging $5/person.  They will be collecting at the door.  All students will need their Ag Expo name tag, and they will also get their hand stamped.

Curt,

I’m very disappointed and frustrated with the decision to reinstate a fee for the dance at Ag Expo without any explanation of why or where this money is going. There has not been a fee for the dance since I started teaching.

I reached out to some active members of the Alpha Delta chapter to understand why this change was made. It is my understanding that the funds are going back into their philanthropic account. While I understand that this money eventually supports the foundation, I still question the sudden change.

Posting this information just two weeks before Ag Expo is discourteous to the chapters that are already paying significant amounts for registration and hotel costs. Our students work hard to fundraise thousands of dollars to attend Ag Expo as it is, and now we are expected to ask them to cover this additional expense out of pocket.

This continues a troubling trend of unclear and inconsistent communication from the Foundation since Kelsey and Morgan left. I believe the Foundation can do better, and as FFA chapters, we expect better transparency and consistency in how these decisions are communicated and implemented.
