The Montana Farmers Union would like to increase the visibility of agriculture throughout the state of Montana. Agriculture is the #1 economic industry in Montana and our communities. It is important that our students understand the scope and scale of the industry. These Ag Pages are a perfect way to help achieve this. These activity pages will feature agriculture commodities that are prevalent in the month and focus on a theme. We will touch on many curricular areas such as math, science, social studies, language arts, Indian Education for All, and specialty areas. Please feel free to use these pages as you feel best fits your classroom. We thought they could be used for:
- Keeping at the student’s desk to work on when they have finished their work
- Sending them home to be used by families
- Using them as whole class lessons
- Using them in a station or rotation
Each Month, your local Montana Farmers Union Ambassador can provide you with the electronic versions of the Ag Pages. They are available in two difficulty levels of pages pre K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade.
Your local Ambassador and I are available as a resource to any teacher who wishes to extend an activity or utilize agriculture in their classroom. Please reach out if you need materials or equipment. The Montana Farmers Union Ambassadors are available to provide resources, lesson materials, or even teach a lesson in your classroom about agricultural topics.
