Call for Umbrella Book Review Committee

Hi everyone!

During Summer Update we promised an update on the Umbrella Book project and that's what this email is attempting to do! 🥳

Through a partnership between our state's NAAE STAR account and OPI, we are seeking six teachers to serve on a review committee to update the existing Agricultural Education Umbrella Book (see attached - also on MAgNet) with the new Montana Approved Pathways document with course offerings and course codes (also attached) provided by the Montana Office of Public Instruction.

The 6 teachers will receive a $250 stipend for their work. Expectations include:

• Reviewing and updating the current umbrella book using the newly released OPI information.
• Collaborating with fellow committee members throughout the revision process.
• Presenting a draft version of the updated umbrella book to MAAE teachers at MACTE.
• Completing and submitting the final version by December 15.

We are hoping for teachers from a variety of program sizes and districts to fill these 6 spots so that the revised document reflects the needs of agricultural education programs across Montana.
