Good morning all,

We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Bobcat Classroom at Ag Expo! This event will showcase 13 of our MSU practicum and methods students who are preparing to student teach in 2026. Each will deliver two back-to-back 40-minute lessons, followed by a 10–15-minute debrief with a mentor teacher. It’s a unique chance for them to practice with real students and get meaningful feedback from experienced educators

To make this possible, we need your help in two ways:

  1. Students: https://tinyurl.com/46zfvtee
We’ve created a Google Sheet for sign-ups so class sizes stay balanced. There are 32 lesson slots across two days, with options for small classes (10 or fewer) and larger ones (around 25). If you have students who could participate, please put your name and contact information for the number of students you can provide - you don't need to give us specific names at this time. We will follow up for that information later.
  1. Mentor Teachers: https://tinyurl.com/bdhane4r
We’re looking for 16 mentors to commit two hours each. Each block covers observing two lessons and leading a short debrief. The sign-up sheet is color-coded to make it easy, and you’ll sign up for a full A or B block in one room.

We know your time is valuable, and we’re deeply grateful for any support you can give. This event is all about preparing the next generation of agricultural educators, and your involvement will have a direct impact on their growth and confidence.

Thank you in advance for helping us make the Bobcat Classroom a success!

With gratitude,

Drs. Perry and Sewell

Hi everyone!

Hopefully your schedules are getting settled for Ag Expo and you're ready to sign up for the Bobcat Classroom?! We would be so grateful if this opportunity fits your schedule and benefits both you and us/our students during Ag Expo. We are looking for FFA members to be students for our preservice teachers as they teach two, back-to-back lessons at Ag Expo. Additionally, we are looking for you to serve as a mentor teacher, observing and providing feedback to our preservice teachers.

We have two sign-ups:

We are grateful to you all for helping us launch this new project! Please let us know what questions you might have.
