Ruby Valley Invitational
The Ruby Valley FFA Chapter and Alumni will be hosting the 54th annual Ruby Valley Invitational Livestock Evaluation, Soils/Range and Forestry contest on Tuesday September 23, 2025. All FFA Chapters and 4-H clubs are welcome to attend. This will serve as the Southwestern District contests.
The contest headquarters will be the Equestrian Center four miles west of Sheridan (887 Ruby River Drive). Registration will begin at 8:30am. Contests will begin promptly at 9:30am. The Soils/Range, Livestock Evaluation and Forestry will take place at the same time so members will only be able to compete in one contest. Students will be bused from the Equestrian Center to a satellite location for Soils/Range and Forestry. Please remind your students to dress for adverse weather conditions. Lunch will be served at noon or immediately following the competition. Awards will follow lunch as soon as possible. There will be a junior division in Livestock open to freshman and younger students. The junior division in Soils/Range is open to sophomores who are first time range judgers and younger members. There will be no junior division in Forestry. Teams will be made up from the top four individual scores from each team.
