Hello Everyone,
As some of you may know, the official "real time" forum for OpenWDL conversations has always been Gitter. While this has served us well in the past, upcoming events have caused us to re-evaluate where we direct people for live conversations.
With some exciting events on the horizon, we needed a platform that could provide themed channels to facilitate discussion about specific tasks and initiatives. We decided that the best technology for this job would be Slack. Additionally, in an effort to not just simply introduce one more thing that everyone needs to monitor, we decided to deprecate the Gitter channel as the "Official" Live chat hub of OpenWDL and instead transition over to solely using slack. We will not delete the WDL gitter page, however links from the website will be removed in the near future and replaced with our slack workspace.
We hope slack will provide a better space for communication, where conversations around writing WDL, Issues pertaining to the spec, and other topics can be better divided and followed by interested parties.
Please use the following invite link to join the slack Channel!
Thank you everyone!
